Road to Recovery, Liverpool, 28th Jan

Posted by George Williams on Monday, January 18th, 2010

Hello everyone, on the train to London again. Meeting Nick Mercer, our MC for the 28th Jan and Simon Jenkins, one of our guest speakers. I’m overwhelmed by the response from people trying to get tickets, especially the momentum thats gathered over Katie Byron headlining. The good news is that if you are not one of the lucky people who can attend on the day, don’t worry!! We will be recording and broadcasting the days events from as early as the first week of Feb.

The recovery community is connecting with each other. There are many many ways people are turning their lives around and with the new technologies and media, you need not be alone. We may have different poison of choice, we may take different routes but for sure we all end up in the same place. Families, Carers and Communities haven’t given up on us, so lets not give up on ourselves.

Imagine having survived all that pain for it not to have meant something. When you’re ready, we’ll be there
