Standing on your own two feet can be challenging when you first leave home as a student. Here are some useful tips to keep the blues away.

Register with a local GP. It’s especially important if you have an ongoing health condition such as asthma, diabetes or epilepsy.

Register with dentist. Dental problems can’t be dealt with by doctors, so you should also register with a local dentist.
Check Immunisation Universities and colleges advise students to be immunised against meningitis C and mumps before starting their studies.

Get plenty of rest and eat healthy food Student life might not be renowned for early nights and healthy eating, but getting enough sleep and eating well will mean you have a better chance of staying healthy at university. You’ll feel more energetic and be better equipped to cope.
