Lucky started using cocaine on a regular basis when he was only 16. He would use it from the moment he woke up until he went to bed, taking the drug at home, in school, in restaurants and cafés.
Lucky recognized that his addiction was becoming out of control, but rather than address his issue he continued to take more cocaine to get rid of the feelings of guilt and shame.
After a visit to hospital and two stints in rehab, Lucky is now well on the way to recovery and has been sober for over 15 months. He himself says “when people ask me what would I like to be when I grow up, I say I want to be sober because that’s the only way I’m going to be anything”.
