Bob Beckett, the founder of UK Advocates and a recovering alcoholic of 22 years, helped open the original Nottingham Priory in 1989 and has acted as an advisor on alcohol treatment both in the UK and the US for the past 20 years. In part two of the interview with George, Bob talks candidly about his journey and battle with alcohol addiction.
His account of a full and successful life is warm, witty and enlightening. We hear of dancing in the Houses of Parliament and how to refuse a drink from the captain of a cruise liner. All good stuff!
