Video: Candlelight Vigil for Those Lost to Addiction and Alcoholism

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Friend of Inexcess TV and local film maker Chase Johnston-Lynch has given us special access to a film he produced at the Candlelight Vigil for Those Lost to Addiction and Alcoholism.

The 2nd Merseyside candlelight vigil and remembrance event took place at the Plaza, Metropolitan Cathedral, Mount Pleasant in Liverpool.

The event, which was presented by SHARP Liverpool, was a time to remember those lost to addiction and alcoholism. The evening consisted of music, readings, personal testimonies, and a remembrance roll-call. Jacquie Johnston-Lynch, Head of Service at SHARP says, “What we wanted to achieve by having a vigil, was not only the remembrance of those people that have died through their addiction and alcoholism, but also to remember that these people were human beings, someone’s, brother, sister, mother, daughter or son.”
