“The British stiff upper lip leads to greater mental health problems for war veterans because they will not complain, psychiatrists claim.

A “significant number” of soldiers returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan could be suffering silently from issues like post traumatic stress disorder because of traditional British reserve, the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Annual Meeting was told.”
