At UKESAD 2009 Inexcess TV managed to get an interview with Christopher Kennedy Lawford, a fascinating man with an incredible life. In long time recovery Christopher talked us through his journey from being a privileged young man to his multi addictive lifestyle.
Christopher Kennedy Lawford reminded us the disease of addiction doesn’t discriminate on wealth background or privilege, but can affect anyone from any walk of life.
George speaks to Christopher Kennedy Lawford. Christopher has worked extensively in Hollywood as an actor, lawyer, executive and producer, and his first book, Symptoms of Withdrawal was a New York Times best-seller – his second book, Moments of Clarity, has just been published. He is currently a public advocacy consultant with Caron treatment centres, a leading non-profit provider of addiction treatment. He raises awareness about addiction and long-term recovery by sharing his experience, strength and hope with clinicians, educators, families and professionals.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University, a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Masters Certification in Clinical Psychology from Harvard Medical School. Christopher is the son of actor Peter Lawford and Patricia “Pat” Kennedy. He is a nephew of John F. Kennedy, and cousin-in-law of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
