A Book I’m Reading

Posted by George Williams on Friday, March 20th, 2009

It’s funny how at the perfect time in life, something or someone appears. By sheer fluke I came across Search For Serenity by Lewis F. Presnall in a friends house. Anyway, I’m at the end of chapter 2 and it’s fantastic. Simple to read and really makes sense with practical advice to get on with. These are just 2 paragraphs on the 1st page.

“This book is about people who have found it necessary to change the way they feel. They have learned that one’s feelings are largely the result of certain complex patterns of habit. To change these emotional habits requires understanding, patience and self discipline. In simple ways this book describes some of the practical ways in which one can replace misery with serenity”

“The full appreciation of inner serenity is achieved only by those who have been forced to face their own weaknesses, their own limitations and possibly their own inner failures”

In my search for recovery and well being in my own persuit of happiness I recommend this book, George Williams.
