Thought for the day

Posted by George Williams on Thursday, May 1st, 2008

“A child under the age of 5, exposed to domestic abuse is as damaged as if abused themselves” Neglect is the persistent failure to meet a child’s basic physical and/or phsycological needs, likely to result in the serious impairment of the child’s health or development. It may involve a parent or care failing to provide adequate food, shelter and clothing, failing to protect a child from physical harm or danger, or the failure to ensure access to appropriate medial care or treatment. It may also include neglect of, or unresponsiveness to a childs basic emotional needs.

Supplied by Dr Huw Charles-Jones… Trevessa brought this up on last nights show. I would ask you to consider if this is the effects of poor child care then when searching for answers to your own problems and issues reflect on the words and be honest if any of the above applied to you. If you could re programme your mind, what would you change?
