Depression and Repossession

Thursday, October 16th, 2008 Depression and Repossession

Rethink a charity is very concerned with the fallout from the economic downturn and has called for immediate action with reference to house repossession. The charity argues that house repossession was rated as the event most likely to cause mental health problems.

Paul Corry of the rethink charity states “I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a rise in the number of people going to their doctor because of mental health problems in the coming months”.
Moreover Mind another charity supports this argument and has launched a £16 million initiative promoting exercise as a tool for improved mental health and also to reduce stigma attached to mental health issues.
