Thought for the day

Posted by George Williams on Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

A few months ago you may have seen Mark Speight doing his tv show, at some stage if you’ve got kids they will know him. He always appeared to be fun and have a nutty zest for life and there was no doubt of his ability and talent. Sadly, his lifestyle has had enormous consequences and there has been the ultimate price to pay. The ripples in the water reach far shores and the effects will change the course of many peoples lives, most of all his family and his girlfriend’s.

I, like so many people started all the excess’s when it was all fun and a great way of being out of control, in later years I personally sought oblivion. There is often a huge price to pay not only for yourself but the many loved one’s around you when it all gets too heavy to bear. If anything out of this tragedy of two people and their families suffering , ponder for a’s not as glamourous as it all seems and there can be a huge price to pay. If you do feel lost or alone and full of fear then don’t be afraid to ask for help. I am a very lucky guy
