Inspiring women

Posted by George Williams on Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I would like to say how humble I felt with my guests Leigh and Lynn on last nights show. This week we have covered so much ground discussing image and how it effects us. Both women had daughters with eating disorders and very eloquently described the feelings, emotions, the struggle not only to find help and support for their children but learning to cope with it and not just blame themselves.

The more my journey through series 1 unfolds the more i’m inspired to continue. Real people, with real lives, dealing with real issues has brought us inspirational people with amazing stories who have turned their lives around so much. Each completely different and yet similar. I started the whole Inexcess dream because I truly believed people would connect and last night gave me a great sense of pride in what we are achieving. A thought for my own mother really. I’m now in a place where no one was to blame, least of all my mother. Parents only ever want the best of happiness for their children and love is all they wish to give. As a parent myself, I now see the enormous responsibility that parenthood is and that although our children sometimes break our hearts they are our lives and bring so much joy and pride
